An enterprising group of journalism students has won the contract to produce a daily newspaper for 50,000 people at the Leeds Festival.
Roland Hancock and Kate Wellham, on the print journalism NCTJ course at Trinity and All Saints College in Leeds, had the idea to produce a version of their weekly student paper, the West Riding Post, for the festival.
They approached festival organisers Mean Fiddler and NME, who have agreed to cover the production costs for around 2,000 copies a day.
The 12 students will take turns to edit, report and distribute the paper.
