Frederick Studemann has been appointed UK correspondent on the Financial Times and will report on all aspects of British life for the international editions of the newspaper.
Only about one-third of the FT’s 440,000 sales are in the UK with the others divided among its Asia, US and European editions. Studemann’s brief will be to look at UK news from an international perspective.
He joined the FT in 1996 as Berlin correspondent and as previously worked as assistant news editor.
The UK correspondent post has been vacant for several months and was previously held by David White.
