Strang takes helm at Autosport

Haymarket Consumer Media has appointed Simon Strang as the new editor of Autosport.com after three years of editing the ITV-F1.com site for Haymarket’s Network division.

Strang has worked in a variety of different roles during 13 years at Haymarket – including stints on F1 Racing and Autosport magazines and a previous spell as managing editor of Autosport.com.

He replaces outgoing editor-in-chief Bira Goren, who has returned to her native Israel, but retains a key role on the website as consultant editor.

Strang said: ‘This is a hugely exciting opportunity to take the world’s best motorsport website on to the next level and for me personally to fulfil a long-held ambition.”
