Harriet Smith, former acting editor of BBC Music magazine has been appointed features editor of BBC Gardeners’ World.
Smith stood in as acting editor on BBC Music magazine over the last year but recently left the title when it transferred from London to Bristol following BBC Worldwide’s acquisition of Origin Publishing.
Smith has an extensive background in music, having previously held the post of deputy/reviews editor on BBC Music in 2002, Prior to that she was founding editor of International Record Review in 1999 and deputy editor on Gramophone.
Her brief at Gardeners’ World will include taking responsibility for features reporting to editor Adam Pasco.
Pasco said she had a “huge passion” for gardening and an enormous amount of editorial experience.
