Scottish Media Group is to expand its collaboration with international programme producers by appointing Sandy Ross as managing director of its new international development arm.
Ross was managing director of Scottish Television and his post signals SMG’s determination to capitalise on its existing relationships with foreign programme producers and seek out new programme formats it can take to UK networks.
Bobby Hain, business development director of SMG Radio, where he was responsible for Virgin, becomes managing director of Scottish TV.
Hain joined SMG three years ago after a career in the radio sector as a presenter, programme director and a station chief.
