Sky News is looking to recruit 17 journalists, including a correspondent for its India bureau, which opens this autumn.
In addition to the India correspondent, who will cover the subcontinent, including Pakistan and Bangladesh, the broadcaster is seeking six reporters, five news producers, four cameramen and two text producers.
The bureau is likely to be located in New Delhi or Mumbai, and will comprise the correspondent, a field producer and a cameraman.
Sky News in the UK has acquired a helicopter to cover disasters and report extreme weather. It will beam images directly to Sky satellite trucks.
