Computer Arts magazine has produced its seventh annual Graduate Showcase supplement, featuring some of the year’s best digital artwork produced by graduate art and design students.
“We had entries from 50 colleges this year – the highest ever number of submissions,” said editor Vicki Atkinson. “It indicates the importance placed on exposure for graduates as they enter the professional realm.” The supplement also carries a feature on the importance of the online portfolio to today’s freelances and those looking for full-time employment. Professional illustrators and web designers provide advice and it also carries a comprehensive listing of end-of-year shows.
Atkinson said: “The Showcase is the highlight of the Computer Arts year. It’s a great opportunity for us.”
The magazine with the covermounted supplement goes on sale on 16 June.
