Sexier image for Erotic Review

By Press Gazette

The Erotic Review has relaunched and shed its old librarian image for a satin negligée, according to editor Rowan Pelling.

The magazine has undergone a complete transformation, including moving to a bigger format, a new logo and adding extra pages following its takeover by ER Publishing, a subsidiary of Dennis Publishing.

Aimed at “liberated yet intelligent minds”, the December issue reveals a slight change to the title – the magazine will now be known simply as Erotic Review.

It has changed from an A4 format to the same size as National Geographic and pagination has risen from 48 to 68.

“Whereas before, it was visually a bit like a sexy librarian, now it’s taken off its glasses, let down its hair and donned a satin negligée,” Pelling said.

The transformation of the magazine has been driven by design consultant Paul Barnes and art director Miles English.
