The International Federation of Journalists has expressed extreme concern to the Government of the Philippines over the latest murder of a journalist in the country, bringing the death toll to seven this year.
According to the IFJ, radio journalist Nelson Nadura was shot by two men while driving from the DYME radio station after finishing his commentary show.
The IFJ has called on the Government of the Philippines to make a commitment to press freedom and to ensure the safety of all journalists working in the country by launching a full investigation into the death of Nadura and bringing those responsible to justice.
