Scottish business website launched by journalist expands on first birthday

By Dominic Ponsford

A business news website for Scotland launched by former business editor of The Scotsman Terry Murden has marked its first birthday by taking on two new correspondents.

Dominic Jeff, a former business reporter at The Scotsman, will be joining Daily Business as a contributing news reporter.

And Richard Leeson, an investment adviser and commentator, is joining as senior money writer.

Murden said: “Already Daily Business has become established as the website of choice for those wanting up-to-date breaking news and opinion, not just on the core business and political issues of the day, but on a wider spectrum of topics, including the arts and financial matters in the sporting world.

“Advertisers and sponsors have helped maintain progress and further opportunities to expand the site’s offerings are under consideration.”

The site is funded by sponsorship, advertising and events.

Murden is currently the only full-time editorial employee.
