Sam Anthony has been appointed controller of features at Yorkshire Television.
Anthony was formerly executive producer at RDF media where he made factual entertainment programmes including Star Bucks for Channel Four and Nobody Likes a Smartass for BBC Two. Prior to that he was a freelance producer and director for eight years at the BBC in Manchester.
“My aim is to have a hand in shaping viewers’ tastes and expectations, rather than simply to respond to them,” he said. “New ideas, and finding exciting ways of producing these new ideas, are ultimately what television is all about.”
