Golf writer Tony Rushmer is to join Hayters Teamwork Sports Agency in its bid to increase its influence in the sport.
Rushmer, 34, had been at GolfWeekly where he served as both deputy editor and tour editor over the past five years.
It marks Rushmer’s return to the agency, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, as he worked for it in the mid-1990s.
Rushmer
has also spent time working for Match magazine and as a commissioning
editor for Total Sport. He is also a freelance journalist in East
Anglia, covering football for The News Of The World and The Daily
Telegraph as well as reporting on horseracing for the Racing Post and
PA.
Rushmer said: “I am pleased to be re-establishing a link with
Gerry Cox and Nick Callow as they were both instrumental in helping my
career progress and I am hoping we can form a successful alliance once
again.”
