Robbie Williams’ ex sues NGN over phone-hacking

By Sarah Limbrick

Probation officer turned television presenter Lisa Brash has become the latest high-profile figure to sue over the phone-hacking saga.

Brash, who hit the headlines after dating singer Robbie Williams, is demanding damages from publishers News Group Newspapers and private investigator Glenn Mulcaire.

She claims she was a victim of phone-hacking at the now defunct News of the World, which was shut down by News Corp in July 2011.

Brash, 39, caught the eye of Robbie Williams in October 2004 and the pair went on to have an intense relationship which ended after much media coverage.

Brash claims she was left deeply depressed and that her two children were bullied at school.

In 2005 she gave an interview in which she claimed her mobile phone had been tapped into and her text messages read. She also claimed a paper sent her a bunch of flowers with a microphone concealed in the blooms, which she put on her grandparents’ grave.
