List-fatigue among the general public has claimed a victim as the Mail on Sunday closed its Rich Report unit.
According to the paper just one staff job is affected – editor Rachel Oldroyd, who is going on pregnancy leave anyway. The equivalent of another three full-time freelance jobs have been cut as result of the supplement’s closure.
The Rich Report was launched in 2000 in direct competition to the Sunday Times’ 17-year-old Rich List.
Both annual supplements were usually published in April. Management believed rich lists were too common.
