Revamp for games mags

Future has unveiled new looks for its Official PlayStation 2 Magazine and PSM2 magazine.

Official PlayStation 2 Magazine has increased its games coverage and added an 18-page section called Replay, featuring challenges, competitions and reader leagues on the games. It has also expanded its coverage of network gaming and overhauled the preview and review pages to encourage more reader involvement. Targeted at mainstream high street games enthusiasts, it is the market leader with sales of 188,079 in the latest ABCs. The redesigned issue goes on sale on 28 December priced £5.49.

PSM2, which prides itself on providing independent news to PS2 players, has a new logo, renamed preview section and an expanded reviews section. News editor Dan Dawkins has been promoted to deputy editor.

PSM2’s latest ABC was 58,527, down 28.2 per cent. The redesigned issue is out this Friday.
