Two men have been arrested in connection with the death of a young journalist in Newcastle last week, the Newcastle Chronicle reports.
Lee Haplin, 26, was found dead in the vacant Summerhill Hostel in Newcastle last Wednesday morning.
According to the Chronicle, he had been working on a project to see first-hand what life was like for those who slept on the streets and friends fear he may have died of hypothermia.
The Chronicle reports that since then two men aged 26 and 30 have been arrested on suspicion of supplying controlled drugs in relation to his death.
Haplin had completed a creative writing MA at Newcastle University, and went on to become a founding editor of Novel, a magazine covering all aspects of North East culture.
