Report cites lack of female national newspaper editors

Peter Wilby notes a report released last week by the Fawcett Society revealing that just two out of 17 national newspaper editors – those of The Sun and the Sunday Mirror – are women. It says that all the 17 deputy editors are men.

He suggests that family commitments for women who have children in their 30s are holding them back from working the long hours needed to get on in news.
