Around 700 entries have been received for this year’s Regional Press Awards – which are due to be held at the Lancaster Gate Hotel in London on Friday, 13 June.
The 60 Press Gazette judges will now begin the process of shortlisting, under the chairmanship of former Northern Echo editor Peter Sands.
The shortlist will be published in Press Gazette, and on pressgazette.co.uk, on Thursday, 15 May.
