Redbourn swaps Times for Chronicle

By Press Gazette

Wokingham Times editor Keith Redbourn is moving to edit one of the oldest papers in Britain, the Hampshire Chronicle.

Redbourn
has been at the Times for eight years and recently saw it win the
accolade of Paid-for Weekly Newspaper of the Year at the annual
Newspaper Society awards.

During his editorship Redbourn has seen the paper go through a major redesign with the launch of a tabloid leisure supplement.

As well as editing the Chronicle he will become group editor of the Romsey Advertiser .

Redbourn
said: “I’m leaving the Wokingham Times on a high, having just won the
award. I am proud to be taking the helm at one of the oldest and most
respected newspapers in Britain and am looking forward to living in the
beautiful cathedral city of Winchester.”

Hampshire Chronicle
editor Alan Cleaver is leaving the paper after seven years to compile a
book of folklore and customs of Great Britain.
