The Forester, a Northcliffe weekly based in Gloucestershire,
achieved a record sales performance with its 12 May edition, selling
more than 12,000 copies for the first time in its history.
Sales of The Forester have been on the increase since acquisition by Northcliffe in 2000.
At that time it was selling fewer than 6,000 copies a week.
The
record sale of 12,115 copies represents an increase of 15 per cent year
on year and was almost 300 copies up on the previous high.
Editor
Viv Hargreaves said: “This is a testament to the strong content, clean
design, solid sales mechanism and allround quality for which The
Forester is held in increasingly high regard.
“We are establishing ourselves as the number one read in the area.”
