Just when they thought it was all over. This is how Nicholas Hoogstraten’s local paper, The Argus, Brighton, covered the release of the property millionaire after he was acquitted at the Old Bailey on manslaughter charges (far left). In July 2002 The Argus covered his conviction like this (left).
Hoogstraten has pledged to sue “just about everybody”. Outside the court he refused to answer questions from The Independent, claiming it was a “left-wing, anarchist publication”.
