Business magazine publisher Centaur has reported profit before tax up 28 per cent to £16.9m on revenue up 12 per cent to £90.3m.
The publisher of titles including Marketing Week, Design Week, Creative Review, Money Marketing and The Lawyer reported a profit margin up two points to 22 per cent.
Chairman Graham Sherren said: ‘We have seen strong growth in advertising in most of our markets, particularly in online media, continued growth in our events business and from the results of new and recently launched products.
“Revenue growth of 12 per cent was supplemented by bolt-on acquisitions with underlying organic revenue growth of eight per cent in the year.
“The new financial year has started well. Revenues in our legal and financial segment are trading ahead of last year despite the impact of recent market volatility.
“Total group revenues in the first quarter are anticipated to be ahead of the same period last year.”
