The chief executive of the Periodical Publishers’ Association, Ian Locks, will be presented on Friday with the Marcus Morris award in recognition of his contribution to the industry. Locks joined the PPA in 1989 as its first chief executive, and was invited to take the post when PPA was an organisation of 120 member companies and had a turnover of £600,000.
During his tenure, the group has grown its membership to 350 publishers and 120 associate members and increased its turnover to £8.5m.
