Daily Mail editor in chief Paul Dacre will deliver the 2008 Society of Editors Lecture to open the group’s annual conference in November.
Dacre will be the keynote speaker at a conference which this year has the title: ‘Digital Heaven or Digital Hell?”
The conference will be based at the Marriott Royal Hotel, Bristol between 9 and 11 November.
Dacre will deliver his lecture on the evening of Sunday 9 November on board Brunel’s steamship the SS Great Britain.
SoE president Simon Bucks, associate editor of Sky News, said: ‘Paul Dacre is a towering figure in the UK media.
‘Paul’s insight and vision will provide the backdrop for another agenda-setting conference that has become a hub of media discussion and one of the major events in the media calendar.”
This year’s conference will investigate the continuing development of converged media across print, broadcasting and online.
Those wishing to book a place at the event should go to the Society of Editors website.
