Patrons endorse mediabuddies site

By Press Gazette

The National Association of Press Agencies has become one of four patrons of Mediabuddies.com, the reunion website for journalists, advertising and public relations executives around the world.

The other three are: the News Xchange, the European conference for the radio and television news industry; the Media Trust, the organisation which helps charities communicate; and EIBIS, the international trade and technical news agency.

David Davis, founder of the site, said: “Having such important organisations lend their support as patrons is a privilege. Other media industry groups in Europe and North America have expressed interest in endorsing mediabuddies and we hope to announce the names of further patrons in the near future.”

Barrie Tracey, director and treasurer of NAPA, commented: “Media folk are not always the best communicators – with each other. So this should be a useful way for old pals to get, and hopefully keep, in contact.”
