The Financial Times threw the most opulent media summer party of the year so far to underline that, as editor Lionel Barber put it in his speech, ‘we are not just in the pink but in the black’–a reference to the fact that the paper is turning a profit for the first time since 2001.
Favoured advertisers, journalists, contributors and contacts (and of course your intrepid Press Gazette reporting team) were treated to limitless champagne, cocktails and oysters at the Victoria and Albert Museum.
