Head of American Media, David Pecker, is negotiating with Richard Desmond to launch a US edition of OK! “We are talking – but there is no agreement yet,” Pecker has said.
If the deal is done, it is thought Victoria Gotti, daughter of the former Mafia chief John Gotti, who has been writing for The Star, may be offered the editorship.
Pecker is predicting that if a deal can be done he can sell at least a million copies a week in the US – about 300,000 more than OK! sells in Britain.
