November ABCs: Scottish papers' slump continues

Once again there were no positive postings in the Scottish newspaper market .

November ABC figures out today showed that the Sunday Herald was down significantly by 11.29 per cent after an 8.80 per cent fall in October, while The Scotsman was down 8.76 per cent on top of October’s 8.29 per cent drop.

For the second consecutive month, the Daily Record has closed the gap with The Sun despite being down 3.60 to 393,593.

From November 2007 The Sun has been selling cut-price at 10p from November 2006 in Scotland and went up to 20p in November 2007. In Scotland 99 per cent of copies of The Record are sold at full price compared to less than 18 per cent of The Sun.
