Former Daily Mirror chief reporter Nic North is setting up his own news agency in mid-Wales.
The Wales and Borders Press Agency will cover news and features throughout Wales and its bordering counties.
After training on the Leicester Mercury, North joined the Mercury East Midlands Press Agency in 1982.
North, who left the Mirror earlier this year after 15 years, said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed, for the most part, my time at the Mirror, however, I now feel ready for a fresh challenge.
“The notion of finding and breaking exciting news stories is what lured me into journalism and starting this agency feels like an honest step back in the right direction.”
The agency is based in Ceredigion and can be contacted on 01239 811715 (office) or 07970 257671 (mobile).
