Business magazine Industry has been renamed British Industry as part of an overhaul ahead of plans to expand overseas.
Publisher Conquest Business Media is launching North American Industry in April and a German edition is set to follow in June.
The title claims to be read by more than 10,000 chairmen, chief executives, managing directors and finance directors, in charge of companies with a workforce of more than 500 people. Nearly half of the copies go to companies with more than 1,000 staff.
The new-look British Industry is expected to offer an international and local perspective on finance and technology, as well as politics and business development issues.
Quentin Letts is among the parliamentary columnists and Industry has signed David Smith from The Sunday Times to focus on industrial economics.
Glen White, chief executive of Conquest Business Media, said the company was laying the foundations for a network of Industry titles. “Some people think the UK’s media and industrial sectors are in decline; we are here to prove them wrong,” he added.
