New look Times

By Press Gazette

Angling Times unveiled a new look this week along with a bigger emphasis on carp fishing, writes Ruth Addicott.

In what is believed to be its biggest relaunch to date, Angling Times also unveiled a new 40-page spin-off magazine entitled UK Carp. Aimed specifically at carp enthusiasts, it will be published free alongside Angling Times every week, featuring the latest tips, tactics and tackle reviews.

Owner Emap is hoping the relaunch will help the title crack the 100,000 sales barrier by the end of the year. Backed by £500,000 extra investment, the changes have taken six months to come to fruition.

Editor Richard Lee told Press Gazette in May he hoped to increase sales from 70,000 to 100,000 by broadening the magazine’s coverage and placing more of an emphasis on news and carp fishing.
