Highbury House Communications is planning to launch a title in October dedicated to home technology and design. The quarterly will be called iHome, following the success of the iHome supplement published with the May issue of sister magazine What Video & Widescreen TV.
The company hopes the 164-page title will capitalise on the growth in integrated home electronics, known as the “smart home concept” and growing sales of high-performance home cinemas.
iHome publisher Steve May said: “Just as home cinemas are now a must-have part of the modern house, multi-room sound systems and audio visual servers will become the next big thing. I’d expect them to become as desirable as conservatories – maybe more so – and they will transform the way people use their leisure time.”
iHome will be A4 perfect bound with a cover price of £3.99. It will be published out of Highbury Entertainment, which also owns Home Cinema Choice, What Home Cinema and Digital TV.
