The print-run of the free Kentish Saturday Observer, the new launch
from Kent on Sunday publisher Kosmedia, has been upped to 45,000
following last weekend’s launch.
Some 35,000 copies of the first
edition were circulated via supermarkets and selected petrol stations.
Kosmedia has now extended distribution to selected newsagents in Kent.
Independently-owned
Kosmedia said it has invested more than £2 million in its newspapers
and magazines, staff, facilities and equipment since the company was
formed in 2002.
Last week the company also launched a glossy paid-for magazine called County Life, in conjunction with BBC Radio Kent.
Editorial
director Ian Patel said: “It has been quite a week for us due to the
demand from the public for both the magazine and the new Saturday
paper.”
Temps had to man the phones as subscription orders for the new magazine “were going through the roof,” he said.
