Rolling Stone art director Andy Cowles is coming back to the UK to become IPC group creative director for its launches.
He moved to New York in 2001 to be creative director on the launch of Mademoiselle with former Cosmopolitan editor Mandi Norwood. He previously worked for News Corp UK and redesigned the News of the World’s Sunday magazine. He has also worked on the launches of Q, Mojo and Empire for Emap.
He said working in the US had given him a “fresh perspective” on how to make brilliant magazines.
He will work alongside IPC editorial director Mike Soutar.
