Steve Barrett is to be the new editor of Media Week. He is currently editor of Young People Now, Haymarket's title aimed at youth workers. Haymarket also owns Media Week.
Barrett will take up his new role in November, replacing Philip Smith who has moved to Brand Republic, parent company Haymarket's marketing and media news website, as its head of content.
Media Week deputy editor Colin Grimshaw will remain as acting editor until Barrett's arrival on the title next month.
