The Tyrone Courier has begun publishing a regular column aimed at the growing Portuguese community in the newspaper’s circulation area.

The weekly newspaper, which covers Dungannon and East Tyrone in Northern Ireland, has a circulation of 14,768. It estimates that some 1,500 Portuguese people live in its area.

In its first week, the new fortnightly column featured three pages of news and ads in both English and Portuguese.
