Graham Watts will succeed John Lloyd as editor of FT Weekend magazine.
Lloyd
is to return to having a full-time writing role on the paper and
magazine. Watts has been deputy editor of the FT magazine since its
launch in April 2003 and was previously deputy editor of the FT’s world
news desk. He joined the FT in 1985.
Sunday Times deputy business editor John Waples is to succeed Will Lewis as business editor of the broadsheet.
Lewis was headhunted by the Daily Telegraph to take over from Neil
Collins as City editor. Waples joined the paper 11 years ago and has
been deputy business editor for the last four.
News International
has poached Evening Standard managing director Mike Anderson to be the
new managing director of both The Sun and the News of the World. He
replaces Camilla Rhodes, who is now the chief executive of a new News
International magazine division. Anderson was the managing director of
daily free newspaper Metro when it launched with great success in 1999.
At the Evening Standard, Anderson is believed to have been the driving
force behind the launch of its recent, free Lite edition at lunchtime.
