Monthly mag for Doncaster Rovers

By Press Gazette

Independent newspaper publisher Newspost is launching a magazine for fans of Doncaster Rovers Football Club.

The Rover launches on Wednesday, priced £1.50, and will be monthly, with an initial print run of 15,000.

Editor Mark Flanagan, previously sports editor of the Hull Daily Mail, said: “The company has been talking to Doncaster for some time but the timing of the launch is really fortuitous.

“Rovers won promotion from the Conference last year and have stormed to the top of Division Three. Doncaster has a district population of well over 300,000 people, work is starting shortly on a fantastic new sports stadium, and we’re working hand in hand with the club to spread the good-news.”

The club are providing much of the content but Flanagan and publisher Danny Lockwood will add a mix of news, features and columns.
