Daily Mirror associate editor Matt Kelly has been appointed to the new position of digital content director for titles in Trinity Mirror‘s nationals division.
In his new post, Kelly and his team will be responsible for the creation and development of new digital sites.
He will also work closely with advertising and marketing teams to ensure the division which publishes the Daily and Sunday Mirror, The People, the Daily Record and the Sunday Mail, maximises revenues from its digital businesses.
Earlier this year, Kelly led development and launch of mirrorfootball.co.uk and 3am.co.uk.
In his new role Kelly will continue to report directly to Richard Wallace, editor of the Mirror.
