A freelance photographer had his nose broken while on assignment with MEN Media’s Channel M after a youth allegedly assaulted him.
John Clarke was trying to get a general shot of the outside of Ashton Magistrates Court, which was being used to detain prisoners before trial due to overcrowding in the local cells.
Clarke said he was surrounded by three youths he believes were aged between 15 and 17.
As he tried to jump in the company van, Clarke said one of the older boys punched his ear, the side of his head and then his nose, knocking his glasses from his face.
