Media plays its part in raising disaster cash

With reference to your Leader (Press Gazette , 7 January), well said.

I
believe we can safely assume it was the media and its sensitive
reporting in print and pictures that brought billions of pounds in to
help the aid programme for the disaster areas.

Media
organisations and their members are also sending donations to help
colleagues and their families in the stricken areas. It is good to see
journalists standing shoulder to shoulder and helping in many ways.
