Management at Newsquest Yorkshire has agreed to talks with the NUJ following a second lunchtime stoppage at the paper, the NUJ reports.
Journalists at the York Press and associated titles have given notice of plans to hold a union meeting at midday every day for the next three weeks.
Staff are unhappy about cutbacks which include making the weekly editor, daily editor and managing director all apply for just one job. The other two posts are being made redundant.
