Take a Break magazine’s Mum’s Army party is to field three candidates in next month’s local elections.
The Bauer real-life weekly set up the campaign to tackle anti-social behaviour last year after letters from readers who were incensed that the Government had failed to rid their towns of yobs.
The candidates will stand in Southend-on-Sea, Hull and Crewe on 4 May, demanding more and better policing, a change in the balance of the law in favour of the victims of crime, better education and more support for parents in raising their children.
