Livestock reporter for the Farmers Guardian, Katie Lomas, has received international recognition after she scooped an award in the International Federation of Agricultural Journalists’ competition.
Lomas was presented with the IFAJ’s development award for young journalists, and bagged a week’s visit to Austria and Slovenia to the IFAJ world congress in September.
Lomas put herself forward for the competition and was nominated by the Guild of Agricultural Journalists of Great Britain.
It is the second consecutive year that a member of the Farmers Guardian staff has won the IFAJ award. Clemmie Gleeson represented Farmers Guardian at the 2007 IFAJ world congress in Japan.
