Loaded has promoted long-standing chief sub-editor Chris Burke to associate editor. The move follows the departure last month of Mick Bunnage, the last of the founding members of the original Loaded team.
Burke will have a floating role, overseeing production with more involvement in the editorial direction and the ongoing changes to design.
Burke joined NME as a freelance sub in 1996 before transferring to Loaded as chief sub in 1997. He was promoted to production editor in 1999. Prior to IPC, he worked on the Birmingham listings title City X.
He will form part of the senior team at Loaded, which includes editor Scott Manson, deputy editor Martin Daubney and managing editor Duncan Baizley.
