The Coventry Evening Telegraph’s Maureen Keates could well be the longest serving newspaper librarian in the country.
She retires in October after spending her entire working life, 49 years, with the paper.
Keates said: “It is like one big family here. I have worked with some great people and I have always loved news which is why, I guess, I’ve stayed so long.”
