Style title Dazed & Confused has redesigned in a larger format and pledged to feature more mainstream cover stars in a bid to win back readers in the shrinking style market.
But the title, founded as an independent by Jefferson Hack and photographer Rankin 10 years ago, has insisted it will retain its credibility by considering "only celebs such as Bjork who have enduring cool or have done serious work".
The list also stretches to Missy Elliott, Franz Ferdinand and Kanye West — all cover stars in the past year — but excludes Girls Aloud, according to associate publisher Rob Montgomery.
He added: "We will remain an antidote to the UK’s dumbed-down celebobsessed magazine culture.
"Dazed & Confused has an incredibly loyal readership and has therefore endured while other style mags have fallen by the wayside."
