A secretive outfit of female hacks at Westminster called the Parliamentary Women’s Lobby has become the latest target for mischievous blogger Guido Fawkes.
The group ‒known by their childish male colleagues at the Commons as the Lezza Lobby ‒invites Cabinet Ministers and senior politicians to their regular women-only lunches.
Now, Fawkes claims that chairwoman and Bloomberg hack Kitty Donaldson is battling a rumpus over the PWL’s code of conduct.
Apparently, Donaldson wanted to draw up a “constitution” to bar her fellow sisters racing out from the lunch and reporting their stories while she is busy settling the bill with a handful of credit cards.
According to Fawkes: “Frantic emails between all members followed and culminated in the suggestion that if Gordon Brown announced at the PWL he was taking Britain into the Euro, they would all have to agree not to report on it for an
hour so Kitty could settle the bill.â€
Meanwhile, male lobby hacks are considering a challenge to the “sexist†club. They claim that their female colleagues would be calling in the lawyers if they set up a men-only outfit.
