Johnston Press is to sell off Northern Irish title Farm Week following the Office of Fair Trading's concerns that the group would own too big a slice of the farming market.
The regional newspaper company also own the Belfast News Letter, which includes Farming Life on Wednesday and Saturday.
Farm Week became part of Johnston Press after the regional newspaper group bought Irish newspaper group Local Press for £65 million in September.
Johnston Press Chief executive Tim Bowdler said: "The Office of Fair Trading said they are not concerned about the acquisition other than the farming market. We have offered the remedy of selling Farm Week and are currently in discussion about the nature of the undertaking.
He added: "Together they were regarded as too big a slice of the farming market which is why we're talking about getting rid of Farm week."
