John Robertson retires from Newbury Weekly News

John Robertson has retired as deputy chairman of Newbury Weekly News
(Printers) Limited and its parent company Blacket Turner and Co.
Robertson.

A past president of the Newspaper Society, Robertson marked his
retirement with a lunch hosted at Newspaper House by Newbury Weekly
News chairman Jeremy Willis.

He was joined by five further Newspaper
Society former presidents: Tim Bowdler, chief executive of Johnston
Press; Sir Nicholas Hewitt, chairman of the Barnsley Chronicle; Charles
Brims, director of Blacket Turner; Edwin Boorman, chairman of the Kent
Messenger; and Sir Ray Tindle of Tindle Newspapers.

Robertson
will remain on the board of Newbury Weekly News (Printers) as a
non-executive director and will continue his roles as a council member
of the Newspaper Society and chairman of the Independent Publishers'
Forum. He is pictured front left with his wife and Newbury Weekly News
chairman Jeremy Willis, with guests and colleagues.
